Mental Toughness, Endurance, and Hope with James Lawrence the Iron Cowboy

“I consider the 50 and the 100 a failure because I didn't execute to perfection. And that's such a high standard, but it's a standard that I hold for myself.”

James Lawrence, aka the Iron Cowboy, is a powerhouse in pushing beyond physical barriers. I first met James shortly after he had set a world record for the most half-iron distance races. He then pushed beyond that to iron distance. James then beat the odds and pushed beyond the doubters to run an iron distance event in every single state within 50 days. He has been termed 'The Most Enduring Man In The World' by Success magazine. His accolades continue with 101 consecutive iron distance events and spending his time as a Speaker. Athlete. Author. And Family Man.

A Bit of Curiosity
A Bit of Curiosity Podcast
I am curious about people’s stories. I believe that everyone has a story. Whether it is exploring entrepreneurship, leadership, business, travel, philosophical thought, faith, marketing, brand building, family/work dynamics, parenting, photography, art, and so much more. This is a podcast to learn more about other people’s stories.
Ever since I was young I was curious. I was curious about what made things work. I was curious about the world around me. I was always building or creating something; sometimes trouble. Between being a husband, father, traveler, man of faith, entrepreneur, investor, philosophy major, and earning a Master in Business Creation, I have leaned into my curiosities again in my older age. Here I am trying to satisfy them a little bit.
Here, we are exploring a wide variety of things in life. Leaning into my curiosities and searching out ways to improve and grow as a person within a greater diverse culture on this globe we call home. Being a generalist learning about more specialist things.
